This should be supplied as either a 256 colour Compuserve .gif file, or a 16 million colour "jpeg" .jpg file. If it is black-and-white, it can be a 256-colour jpg.
Please do NOT send a Windows bitmap file without asking first, as it is huge in size, and can take a long time to download it by email!
Please make sure you include the nick as well - exactly how you want it to be spelled, including capital letters if there are any.
We will then crop and/or resize to suit our website requirements at the time.
Then we will create a "thumbnail" image cropped to 75 pixels wide by 70 pixels high, placing that into the album, with a link to the full size picture.
Then write to the "webmaster" about having the image and the link to it placed on this site when you are ready.
If you would like to put the photo on a page with a little written about yourself, that's cool. Regular channel members may apply for a small website here. Check the information here :)
If you have your own website, our page can automatically access your file from that site each time somebody looks at the page here. If you keep the file on your own site, then you have complete control over when or if people on the world wide web are able to access it.

If you would like to add your photo to our "Friends' Page", you will need to provide a small image perhaps up to 300 x 400 pixels. That is about the size of a standard photo scanned at 75 dots per inch.
