    Mission Statement:

The #Christian Channel is a unique Internet ministry that is non-denominational in leadership and approach, and evangelical in its endeavor to inform and unite people who earnestly seek Jesus Christ. It is our mission to guide, instruct, inform, and encourage others to seek and follow the truth which leads to eternal life; that is, that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6).

It is also our commitment to help those who know Christ, grow in their knowledge and understanding of His truth, to better equip them to serve God (Ephesians 4:12). We stand encouraged in heart and united in love (Colossians 2:2) for the purpose of spreading the Gospel to all corners of the world (Matthew 28:19).

We take a sincere biblical stand on matters of faith and issues which effect spiritual growth. It is not our desire to condemn those who disagree with our mission, but for reasons of clarity with regard to the direction of our ministry, we state the following:

      • We reject false teachings (1Timothy 4:1 ) which hinder growth and understanding of the truth of the Bible. .

      • We believe that if one sincerely turns to the Holy Bible for answers to life's difficult questions, one will find the will of God. Contained there are certain truths that are universally common to human experience. We are committed to sharing these truths in a loving way (1Peter 3:15). Because he is the Truth, Christ sets us free from our sin through the power of God's Holy Word (John 8:32) and by the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth (John 16:13).

      • We believe that all people are created by God for an eternal purpose and are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14-16); thus, we believe the Bible upholds the sanctity of human life.

      • We hold to the moral conviction that our sin separates us from God and the only redemption possible is through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. By His grace through faith in Him, He has saved us from our sin (Ephesians 2:8-9) which includes those listed by Paul in his Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 6:9-10-- see footnote). It is our desire to share this good news to anyone who sincerely wishes to know and understand God's truth.

      • We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23), and are therefore in desperate need of God's saving Grace, Jesus Christ. Further, we believe that those whom God has chosen to be His children (Ephesians 1:1) and part of the body of Christ, have been justified by Grace and with the indwelling Holy Spirit's guidance is continually being sanctified before the throne of Heaven. Because we have all fallen from Grace, and yet are loved by God, it is our desire and hope to follow St. Augustine's example by loving the sinner, but not the sin.

      • We believe that for those who truly know and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior there is no condemnation for sin. We as a ministry will use our conviction that the Bible is good for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16), to guide and counsel as the Holy Spirit leads us, according to the truth of God's Word.

      • We believe that Satan is God's enemy and that we are all in a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12). Satan, masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14); Prowls around as a lion seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8), and Satan is a defeated foe (Luke 10:18) because of Christ's work on the cross. Christians, through Christ's fullness have power and authority over Satan (Luke 11:22, Colossians 2:10). By submitting ourselves to God, we may resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4:7).

We recognize that people view certain issues such as abortion, homosexuality and other contemporary subjects in various ways and may not agree with the above convictions. Though we stand as a ministry in opposition to abortion and immoral behavior of any kind, we choose to love others despite differences of belief and opinion. It is our desire to show love and grace to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, despite our differences, and to those fellow Christians with whom we disagree we say,

"In matters essential - unity; in matters doubtful - liberty; but in all things - charity!"

    * Footnote:
For the sake of clarity, Paul's Letter to the Corinthians dealt with abhorant behavior by the believers of that Church. In his epistle, he lists a number of sins that the Corinthians were guilty of.

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10 reads:

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?

      Do not be deceived: Neither

      - the sexually immoral - nor idolaters - nor adulterers - nor male prostitutes - nor homosexual offenders, - nor thieves - nor the greedy - nor drunkards - nor slanderers - nor swindlers

will inherit the kingdom of God."

He goes on to say that that is what some of the Corinthians once were, and that they need to stop behaving as they once were. It is our understanding that, because there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), believers who find themselves in sinful situations will be convicted by the Holy Spirit to repent of that sin.

Without such conviction, one must ask the question, "Are you truly born-again?" Because it is possible for a Christian to be deceived on a particular issue, we make no judgment as to the eternal position one may hold, but it is important to know that if one does not have a sense of conviction in response to obvious sinful behavior, the sincerity of their faith is in question.

As Galatians 6:1 instructs us, it is our hope to gently guide to repentence those who have a view that they may sin and not face consequences. It is important that we understand that sin is not to be taken lightly, despite our inclination to succumb to temptations.
